âDaddy~â
Jonginâs eyebrows slowly knot together and he lets out a small yawn as he buries himself deeper into his pillows and duvet. A small giggle catches his attention but he is too sleepy to open his eyes so he opts to turn around and lie on his back, and his arm moves to drape on his eyes. Five more minutes.
âDaddy, Yoo hungweee~â he feels a weight lands on top of his chest and Jongin grunts because the three year old is starting to gain weight and no, itâs not because Jongin was getting old. He is only thirty-three, heâs still young.
He feels his husband lying next to him, his soft snores indicating that Kyungsoo is still asleep. The both of them had stayed up late last night because their three year old Yoo had sleep through the entire afternoon yesterday and refused to sleep at his usual bedtime of 8PM. The small family had spent the entire night watching videos of penguins (which are Yooâs favourite animals in the world) until Yoo fell asleep on Jonginâs chest at 2:30 in the morning.
âIâm so tiredâ Kyungsoo stifled a yawn as he reached for Yoo to lay him on the space between them. Jongin shut the laptop closed quietly, grabbed Yooâs stuffed penguin plushie and turned the lampshade off before laying down on his side of the bed, careful not to wake Yoo up, who was thankfully now asleep and curled up on his spot.
Through the dark, Jongin could see that Kyungsoo was already asleep, his husbandâs hand wrapped loosely around Yoo and his lips pressed onto the top of Yooâs head. Jongin smiled to himself and turned to his side. He ran a hand through Yooâs hair and planted a kiss on both of his boysâ forehead before he closed his eyes, the penguin plushie tucked into his arms, and slowly, sleep started to consume him.
So now, Jongin is confused on how his three year old is already awake, poking his small fingers on Jonginâs cheeks. He was sure it isnât even six yet, he still has thirty minutes before he has to be up.
âYoo, itâs Dadâ Jongin corrects the three year old, his eyes still closed âIâm Dad, okay?â
âDaddy~â the three year old insists with a giggle. Jongin feels himself laughing along with his baby, because no matter how many times he and Kyungsoo tell Yoo that Jongin is Dad and Kyungsoo is Daddy, the three year old insists otherwise. Jongin is sure Yoo is just teasing him sometimes.
Jongin then opens his eyes and finds Yoo peeking at his eyes below the arm that is draped on his face.
âPeek-a-boo, daddyâ Yoo claps his hands in glee and then uses them to cover his own eyes. Jongin smiles and pokes at Yooâs chubby cheeks.
âBooâ he says as Yoo opens his hands to peek through his fingers, sending the three year old into a fit of giggles. He watches with a warm smile as Yoo sits on his chest, his wide eyes (which he obviously had inherited from Kyungsoo) crinkling into cute little slits as he laughs, his small button nose twitching and Jongin is reminded of his own. He feels Kyungsoo shifting beside him and he murmurs a quiet âshhâ to Yoo who then covers his lips with his hands. When Kyungsoo has settled face down on his pillow and is snoring again, Yoo pouts.
âDad, sleep?â he asks Jongin , who nods and reaches up to fix Yooâs onesie. âDaddy, whereâs pororo?â
Jongin looks around to find the small plushie and finds it on the floor beside their bed. Struggling, he reaches down to grab the stuffed penguin and that is when he sees the alarm clock on the bedside table.
7:34.
âShitâ Jongin springs up, forgetting that Yoo is sitting on his chest. The motion is so quick that his chin knocks against Yooâs forehead and he knows it must hurt because Yoo is already pouting, his eyes bleary with tears as his small fingers rub the wounded spot. âIâm so sorry, babyâ he kisses the three year oldâs forehead but Yoo is already wailing, his cries filling their bedroom.
Jongin carries Yoo in his arms as he stands up, whispering comforting words on the three year oldâs ear as the toddler sobs on his shoulder, his tears soaking up Jonginâs shirt. âDad is so sorry, Yooâ he says, as he quietly runs out of the room, careful not to wake Kyungsoo up.
Yoo has always been a daddyâs boy and not a dadâs boy which means that the three year old always clings to Kyungsoo whenever he cries, only because it is Jongin who makes him cry most of the time (the current situation being an obvious example). But he knows that Kyungsoo is tired from yesterdayâs work; the older had worked overtime in the bakery because of some last minute orders and he knows that it is Kyungsooâs day off today so he lets his husband have all the sleep he could get. He can deal with Yooâs crying, Jongin assures himself.
But, now, he is running late. Jongin rushes over to the bathroom and brushes his teeth and bounces Yoo on his hip, simultaneously, as the little boy fuzzes.
âI want dad~â the toddler wails as his little fists come in contact with Jonginâs neck.âDaaad!!â Yoo screams at his ear and Jongin has to cover his ear and Jongin is sure Kyungsoo would be up by now.
The toddler starts to thrash in his hold and Jongin is afraid of dropping him, so he puts Yoo down and watches in agony as the three year old runs out of the bathroom screaming for his âdadâ. Jongin can only sigh as he rushes to get inside the shower.
Todayâs shower has passed his current record for âhow fast can Jongin take a showerâ with three minutes exact. He doesnât even know how he did it but Jongin doesnât have the time to dwell on the subject because shit, he is late and he has an important meeting with his bosses at 8:30.
He runs back to their bedroom and sees the bed empty, Kyungsoo and Yoo nowhere in sight. He briskly puts on his suit, leaves his tie hanging around his neck and throw on his shoes (without the socks because heâs got no time to put them on and Jongin just really hates socks) then grabs his suitcase before taking one last look at the mirror. His hair is still damp from the shower but Jongin just decides to leave it to dry like that. He grabs his phone and wallet from the bedside table before heading to the kitchen.
âIâm lateâ he whines as soon as he spots Kyungsoo inside the kitchen, with Yoo in his arms. The three year old now smiling as Kyungsoo feeds him with some chocolate porridge. Yep, Kyungsoo is indeed the favourite.
âGood morning to you tooâ Kyungsoo says with a slight roll of his eyes and Jongin chuckles to himself. Kyungsoo has always been snarky (especially to Jongin) but he also knows that the older has a weak spot (especially to their Yoo).
Kyungsoo settles the three year old down on his high chair and lets Yoo eat on his own. Jongin grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and takes three gulps as he feels Kyungsoo standing beside him. He turns to his side to kiss the older a good morning but Kyungsoo is quick to grab the loose tie around his neck and Jongin only stares at his husband as the older works on his tie. He stares at Kyungsooâs eyes which are still puffy from sleep, a mark is on his cheek from how he slept last night and his lips, which have always been Jonginâs favourite part of Kyungsoo, are so beautiful that Jongin canât help but presses his own against Kyungsooâs.
Kyungsoo sighs because he still hasnât brushed his teeth but Jongin doesnât mind at all, his hands slowly making their way around Kyungsooâs waist and Jongin debates then and there whether he should just skip work today and just stay here, snuggling with Kyungsoo instead. But before he can make a decision, he feels Kyungsooâs hands push him gently. âGo now and have fun on your meeting later.â
Jongin whines again and he gives Kyungsooâs lips a final peck. Kyungsoo laughs against his lips and mutters a soft âI love you.â
âI love you too,â Jongin whispers as he plants another peck on Kyungsooâs forehead. Checking his watch, Jongin internally screams because it is already 8:05 and it would take at least twenty minutes for him to reach the office. He withdraws his hands from Kyungsooâs waist and grabs his suitcase.
âI love you, Yoo-ieâ he says, kissing his three year oldâs chubby cheeks but he just gets a spoon of chocolate porridge shoved into his face. He mentally groans.
Jongin is so close to screaming and ripping his hair off in frustration as he looks down at his white button down. He is already seven minutes late to his meeting and he is sure he looks ridiculous now because there is a huge coffee stain on his white dress shirt. He shots a glare at Jongdae, who is trying hard not to snicker at Jonginâs misfortune.
âI swear to God, this day just keeps getting worseâ Jongin says, voice laced with irritation, as he grabs the tissues Jongdae is handing him, and wipes at his shirt aggressively. He sighs in frustration as he throws the used tissues on the trash bin and examines his shirt. Jongin mutters a silent âfuck itâ and gives up on his shirt. He grabs his folder from the desk and runs to the meeting room.
âDad, ice cream?â
Kyungsoo wipes his three year oldâs cheeks with a tissue and somehow Yoo finds this amusing because he giggles at Kyungsoo, small hands sticky with chocolate ice cream making grabby motions to him. The telephone is sandwiched between his ear and shoulder as he listens to Jongin rambling on and on about his pathetic day.
â...and another client wants to rebook everything and I swear I can feel myself getting old twice as fast today. This will be the death of me, I swear. There are lines on my forehead already and my back hurts and itâs not even half of the day yet,â Jongin complains, all in one breath and Kyungsoo snorts at him.
âWeâre eating ice cream,â Kyungsoo tries to change the subject to ease Jonginâs overacting frustration.
He hears Jongin crying on the other end of the line âBabe, thatâs not helping at all. Youâre supposed to comfort me.â
Kyungsoo rolls his eyes even though Jongin couldnât see him but he slightly feels concerned about his husband. He knows Jongin has always been serious and dedicated to his work so he tries his best to comfort his husband through the call. âOnly three more hours, honey,â the endearment rolling off Kyungsooâs tongue sweetly and Kyungsoo laughs at himself because he rarely uses these nicknames towards Jongin. âYouâll be home soon. Weâll be waiting for you.â
He hears Jongin sighing from the other end of the call and Kyungsoo says a quiet âI love youâ before he says goodbye to his husband. Yoo is starting to make a mess on his onesie and he figures it is time for bath.
âDad?â Kyungsoo hears a quiet call from the kitchen door, as he is making two mugs of steaming hot chocolate, one with little bits of marshmallows for Yoo. He turns around and sees Yoo covered in his favourite yellow blanket, his hair still damp from his bubble bath and his little feet covered with his favourite socks. Kyungsoo watches as his little boy pouts even more as the rain outside falls harder, the streaks of lightning alarming the little cocooned three year old.
Kyungsoo washes his hands and he feels Yoo walk towards him, his small hands wrapping around his leg. He looks down and sees Yoo biting his lips and Kyungsoo knows that Yoo is trying not to cry as his tear-filled eyes look at his father. He runs a hand through Yooâs hair and he hears the toddler whimpers as his hands tightens around Kyungsooâs leg. His little boy has always been scared of the rain and the sound of thunder, something Kyungsoo is sure that Yoo inherited from Jongin (along with his love for dogs; they have to keep Monggu and Janggu away from Yoo because he keeps squishing them).
âCome here, loveâ Kyungsoo crouches down to Yooâs level and smiles at his three year old, who is now quietly sniffing. Yooâs small hands find their way around Kyungsooâs neck and he buries his face on to Kyungsooâs chest as the sound of thunder fills the room. âDo you want to sleep, baby?â
Kyungsoo feels Yoo shaking his head as the little boy mumbles a hushed ânoâ. He grabs both cups of hot chocolate in one hand and carries Yoo to their bedroom. After settling the cups on their bedside table, he lets Yoo crawl on the bed and watches as the three year old settles himself on Jonginâs side of the bed and tries to hug Jonginâs pillow as far as his little arms allow him. Kyungsoo closes the curtain to drown out the sound of the pouring rain and turns on television. Knowing how to comfort his three year old, Kyungsoo grabs a CD from the bookshelf and puts it on the player. Kyungsoo knows Yoo has always loved watching the home videos he and Jongin had recorded starting from the day their little sunshine was born.
He hears Yoo squeals from his place on the bed as a video played on their screen, showing a ten hours old Yoo, who barely weighed five pounds, covered in a yellow blanket.
âBlankie, look!â Yoo grabs his blanket and wiggles it with his hand âThaâs you!â
Kyungsoo smiles as he watches his adorable three year old. He sits down next to Yoo, who stands up to seat on Kyungsooâs lap. He runs his hands through Yooâs black hair as they watch the very first video Jongin had recorded; when Yoo was born.
He could hear Jongin sniffling on the video as his husband tried his best to place the camera to get a better view of Yoo who was then inside the neonatal intensive care unit, a couple of wires attached to his small body.
âHang on there, babyâ Kyungsoo hears Jongin say on the video and his hands automatically wraps around Yoo to pull him closer to his chest. âYouâre strong, baby, I know it. Your daddy and I canât wait to finally hold you."
Kyungsoo doesnât remember much that day because he had fainted from exhaustion and stress after twelve hours of early labour and delivering a three weeks premature Yoo. He woke up a couple of hours later to find Jongin beside him, waiting for him, holding his hand tightly with his. But he can still remember Jongin scooping him up in his arms as he broke down in tears. He remembers Jongin saying âIt will all be okay, our baby is strong,â and whispering hushed âthank youâs and âi love youâs.
The month after that was the hardest for Kyungsoo because Yoo had to stay in the hospital before he was healthy enough to go home. Nothing had broke his heart as hard as watching his little boy struggled by himself while Kyungsoo could only watched from the other side of the window.
The next clip shows Kyungsoo holding a now healthy Yoo when they finally could bring him home. Kyungsoo was seated on their bed as he gently rocked Yoo in his arms. Jongin was talking behind the camera, muttering something about cribs while Kyungsoo cried, his emotions overflowing because their small family was finally together in their house for the first time that night.
âDaddy make Dad cry?â Yoo asks from his spot as his small fingers play with Kyungsooâs thumb. Kyungsoo laughs as he shakes his head and then grabs Yooâs cup of chocolate to feed the three year old some of the marshmallows.
Yoo has always been small and thin (except for his chubby cheeks) for his age and it has always worried both Kyungsoo and Jongin that their baby might easily fall sick. But as Yoo grows up, their little bundle of joy became healthier and, although he still gets colds sometimes, heâs more energetic and, as soon as he learned how to walk, he runs around the house, squealing, with Jongin running after him, pretending to be a dinosaur (Kyungsoo often complains to Jongin how they should be careful, but sometimes he runs along with them and pretends to be the hero who shoots Daddy Dinosaur with a super-powered gun aka the remote)
It was already 7p.m., three hours past the normal time he gets off work, when Jongin removes his tie which he then throws into his bag and shuts his laptop close before heading to Junmyeonâs office to pass the additional paper works that his boss had asked him to finish. After handing over the papers, Jongin was quick to walk out of the office building, only to see that it was still raining. The subway is not far from their office but Jongin forgot to grab an umbrella so he just decides to run towards the station because he badly wants to just go home and sleep. By the time he arrives at the station, his hair and his button down shirt are soaked from the rain and Jongin quickly gets on to the next train. His back hurts caused by the hours of sitting down, typing on his laptop for the whole day, and his head is pounding as he gets off the train, his body shivering from the cold. He silently thanks the heavens that the rain kind of stopped as he gets off the platform. He debated whether to hail a taxi now (because he is so exhausted from this terrible day) or to just walk (because their neighborhood is just three blocks away. Sighing, he decides to just walk. He reaches for his phone to check for possible messages and Jongin kind of worries a little because Kyungsoo hasnât replied to his message which he had sent hours ago to let his husband know that he will be working overtime.
Jongin is sure life is being terrible to him today as he feels a fever coming. He can barely keep his eyes open and he wants to cry because he is starving and his feet are cold and his back is killing him.
As soon as he steps into their front porch, Jongin grabs his keys from his bag and enters the house, which is surprisingly quiet. He reaches to turn the light switch on and finds the living room empty. Jongin is used to coming home with Yoo greeting him at his spot on the floor where he usually plays with his toys at and Kyungsoo coming out of the kitchen to give him a peck and asks about his day. But today, Yooâs toys are neatly kept in their box and the light on the kitchen is off. Jongin quietly walks over to their bedroom and there he finds his two boys.
Jongin gently closes the door as he steps inside their bedroom. The television is turned on but nothing is flashing on the screen so Jongin walks over to it, his fingers combing through his damp hair, and turns the television off. Jongin then walks over to the left side of the bed where Kyungsoo and Yoo are curled up with each other covered in blankets, eyes closed and breathing steadily, and sits down on the spot beside his husband.
He stares at both of his boys, a smile playing on his lips, he reaches for Kyungsooâs hand and intertwines their hands together, their wedding rings clinking against each other. One look at them and his exhaustion evaporates in thin air and he feels warm inside because, how can he be so lucky to have these two beautiful loves of his life? He mustâve done something worthy enough in his previous life to be able to spend this life with Kyungsoo and have the cutest little kid.
He runs his thumb across Kyungsooâs knuckles one final time before he stands up to walk to the bathroom. He quickly strips off his wet polo shirt and sits down on the toilet, contemplating whether he should take a bath or just do it in the morning because god, he is so tired.
As he is about to go and grab a towel, he hears the bathroom door open and, despite his throbbing head, he smiles as he sees Kyungsoo peeking inside, his eyes swollen cutely from sleep. As he spots Jongin sitting on the toilet, Kyungsoo lets himself inside and closes the door quietly.
âDid you just get home?â Kyungsoo walks over to his husband and sees the fatigue on Jonginâs eyes behind his soft smile. Kyungsoo stops in front of him and he reaches up to run his fingers through Jonginâs hair and notices that they are damp. âDid you get caught up in the rain? Didnât I tell you to always bring your umbrella? Or just take the car?â
Jongin whines as he pushes his face on Kyungsooâs tummy, and he just sighs because squishy and Kyungsoo is so warm. âI know and Iâm sorry for always forgetting but can you just, please, hug me because Iâm so hungry but Iâm so tired to actually do anything?â
Kyungsoo wants to roll his eyes at Jongin but the latter is mushing his face on his tummy and it tickles so Kyungsoo just laughs. âHow was your day?â
He hears Jongin cry. âThis day was absolutely the worst!â he continues to enumerate all the bad stuff that happened at work today up to how he got soaked by the rain and how his head is hurting too much and that he could feel like back killing him slowly. Kyungsoo listened to Jongin ranting about his day as his hands continue to run through the youngerâs hair.
âAnd I missed you today,â he hears Jongin whispers after a few seconds. Kyungsoo feels his cheeks warm from Jonginâs words. Itâs been more than ten years since theyâve been together and, as much as Kyungsoo wouldnât admit it, Jongin never fails to make him feel like heâs falling in love with him again and again everyday (which he definitely is).
Kyungsoo runs his hand on the expanse of Jonginâs back and he feels Jonginâs temperature is a little warmer. âCome on, Iâll cook dinner so you can take your medicine. You look like youâre going to catch a fever.â
Jongin shakes his head and wraps his hands around Kyungsooâs waist tightly refusing to let go. âLetâs just stay like this for a while, baby. Being like this makes me feel a whole lot betterâ.
Now, Kyungsoo really does roll his eyes but his smile grows wider. âWe can cuddle more later in bed after dinner?â he suggests and he practically feels Jongin smile against his sweater-clad skin. Jongin looks up and Kyungsoo notices that his nose is turning red. Jongin sniffs for a bit before grinning at his husband.
âOkay,â Jongin tightens his hold on Kyungsoo and squeezes one final time before he releases his husband. Kyungsoo is about to walk out of the bathroom when Jongin grabs him by the hips and presses his lips against Kyungsooâs, startling the latter. Jongin pulls away before Kyungsoo could even respond.
âDonât kiss me! I might catch a cold too-â
Jongin pecks Kyungsooâs lips again and the latter barely registers what just happened because Jongin kisses him fully on the lips now and pulls him closer. Kyungsoo gives up and just kisses him back because, really, he never had the ability to resist Jongin. Jongin places a few more pecks on his lips and is about to go in for another kiss when they hear a soft cry on the other side of the door.
Kyungsoo pushes his hands away and walks over to the door and opens it to see Yoo, in tears, clutching his Pororo plushie by its tail.
âHey, baby, whatâs wrong?â Kyungsoo kneels down in front of the sniffling child and wipes Yooâs tears with his fingers gently. âItâs okay, love, donât cry.â
Yooâs crying slows down and turns into soft sniffles as Jongin joins them, kneeling beside Kyungsoo and opening his arms for his son. Yoo wraps his little arms around Jonginâs neck and clings to his father like a koala, his feet wrapping around Jonginâs waist. Jonginâs back hurt but he dismisses the feeling because his baby is more important.
âDid you have a bad dream, Yoo?â Jongin asks as he places a kiss on the crown of Yooâs head. The three year old sniffles as he nods his head and Jongin runs his hand across Yooâs back. âItâs okay now, buddy. Daddy and Dad are hereâ
âGo put a t-shirt on while I get dinner ready,â Kyungsoo says to Jongin as he tries to take Yoo in his arms, but the three year old tightens his grasp on Jongin, refusing to let go. Kyungsoo tries bribing the three year old with a promise of some cake from last nightâs leftover, but Yoo just shakes his head as he hides his face under Jonginâs chin.
âItâs okay, baby,â Jongin says to Kyungsoo âIâll take care of him. Weâll be down in a bit.â
With one final nod and after grabbing the neglected stuffed toy on the floor, Kyungsoo leaves the bathroom to go to the kitchen while Jongin walks over to their closet to grab a tshirt, a pair of sweatpants and some socks (because desperate times call for desperate measures â his feet are cold). He sits down on the bed and settles Yoo on his lap, while the three year old stares at him with his puffy eyes.
Jongin smiles at his baby fondly and sweeps Yooâs hair which almost covers his eyes. He really should have a haircut soon. âI missed you today, Yoo-ie. Did you miss dad?â
Yoo nods at him, his big eyes never leaving Jonginâs. He looks so much like Kyungsoo, Jongin thinks as he fixes the button of Yooâs onesie.
âDadâs back and head hurt and dad is tired, Yoo-ie.â Jongin pouts then and he almost squeals when Yoo pouts at him back, the three year oldâs chubby cheeks puffed out.
Yoo reaches up and places gentle pokes on Jonginâs forehead. âDaddy feel better now?â
Despite all the uneasiness he feels in his body, Jongin feels something warm spreading from his heart to his chest as he watches Yoo tilting his head to the side, the three year oldâs eyes blinking slowly at him.
âYes, Yoo,â Jongin whispers as he places a soft kiss on Yooâs forehead. âDadâs all better now.â
The small family of three have dinner quickly, with Yoo sitting on Jonginâs lap and feeding his Dad with his own Rillakuma-designed spoon, because âdaddy is tired, Yoo will help him feel betterâ. Kyungsoo alternates between feeding Yoo and cleaning up the mess the other two make as they giggle about everything. After dinner, Yoo refuses to let go of Jongin, either holding his hand or clinging on his pants, up until they are both lying in bed, ignoring Kyungsoo, who is busy fixing Yooâs toys which are scattered on the floor.
âDaddy feel better now?â Yoo presses the back of his hand against Jonginâs neck and announces that Daddy should sleepy sleep now.
âBut I canât sleep without Daddyâs good night kiss,â Jongin says rather loudly for Kyungsoo to hear. The latter turns around to see both of his boys staring at him, one with a playful smirk on his lips, the other with wide questioning eyes.
Kyungsoo stands there for a while, contemplating if it would hurt that much if he throws a plushie at Jonginâs head right now. But then Yoo is suddenly skipping off the bed and running towards Kyungsoo. He lets the three year old grab his hand and leads him to their bed.
âDad, hug Daddy,â Yoo commands him as the three year old tries his hardest to push Jongin to the center of the bed. âNo kissing. Daddy has bad nose bacteria,â the three year old says, struggling with the last word.
This time, it is Kyungsoo who smirks at Jongin. He sits down on his side of the bed and runs his fingers through Jonginâs hair, like how he knows the younger always loves it.
âCan you massage my back?â Jongin asks as he turns to lie on his front, burying his face onto his pillows. He lets out a mixture of a grunt and a cry as he feels something on the lower part of his back and he is sure Yoo is sitting on him now. He feels Kyungsooâs hands press through his muscles, kneading and slowly rubbing on all the sore parts. He is about to fall asleep when he feels small pokes on his sides, causing him to squirm. Yoo giggles on top of him and Jongin rolls over to grab the squealing three year old and traps him in his arms.
Kyungsoo soon joins them, tickling the three year old, as Jongin wraps both of his hands on Yooâs, and the three year old is in fits of laughter.
Kyungsoo watches the two of them fondly and grabs the blankets as Jongin settles down into his side and Yoo is already sprawled on his place in between them.
âAre you feeling better, love?â Kyungsoo asks, the endearment rolling off his tongue naturally, as he settles into his pillow, arms wrapping around Yoo. The three year old is curled up on Kyungsooâs side, facing Jongin, his small hands playing with the hem of Jonginâs shirt sleeves, like he always does before he goes to sleep.
Jongin looks at the two beautiful boys in front of him and smiles.
Today might have been one of his worst days, he was late, he might have had some troubles with his boss during their meeting, he worked overtime, he was soaked with the rain, caught a fever and his back is still hurting. And who knows, maybe tomorrow might be the same â or, somehow, even worse.
Jongin presses his lips against Yooâs forehead, the three year old barely trying to keep his eyes open. And then his hand searches for Kyungsooâs and intertwines both of their fingers.
âYeah,â he whispers against Kyungsooâs lips before pressing a soft kiss against them. âI love you."
âI love you too. Good night,â is Kyungsooâs reply.
Jongin knows that there might be plenty of worse days to come, but really, how can he complain when he knows that no matter how terrible his day would be, he would always have the two loves of his life waiting for him at home.
And thatâs all that matters.

Date: 2016-09-15 09:34 am (UTC)This story totally drove me nuts I tell you. The amount of fluff you had in the story got me asdfghjkl-ingđđđ IT'S SO FLUFFY AND LOVELY AND PRECIOUS!!!! I seriously couldn't stop smiling and giggling to myself through the entire time I was reading the story :")))
Also, I really really love the way you wrote the story!! The tone you used was very soft and gentle, as if sharing/reminiscing something very precious. You painted a very soft, pastel image of the scenarios in my head with your writing and I love it so so much. AND OMGGG The family interactions are so freaking precious omg. I have a three year old niece whom I love very dearly and while reading about the family's interaction, I could feel Kaisoo's exploding affection for Yoo the same way my heart burst into feels whenever I'm with my niece. All the little cutesy stuff they did together, especially when Yoo got Ksoo to come hug Jongin because Jongin had 'bad nose bacteria' my gosh you had no idea how hard I cooed.
AND!!!! KAISOO'S INERACTION ;_; Gdi you wrote them so well and exactly the way I love it. They were all very small, casual/everyday actions but those were the little things that Kyungsoo did to help Jongin push on in this story and I was justđđđđđđđđ I love how you got Kyungsoo to comfort Jongin through such manners instead of like cooking him a big meal or bringing him out etc. I really really appreciate little things like this :"))))
My goodness I'm really exploding from all the feels your writing gave me and I'm just :"))) So speechless. Everything about this story is so precious and lovely and has so much affection and love. Thank you so much for bringing this story alive reallyă ă It was everything I hoped for it to be and so so much more. This story now has a special place in my heart thanks to youđ Thank you so so much author!!!!đđđ

Date: 2016-09-23 11:57 am (UTC)Speaking of their adorable kid, Yoo is so cute! He's the absolute star of this fic. I could just picture him with his huge eyes and his cute button nose, chubby cheeks... waddling around with his Pororo plushie and his yellow blanket. The image of him with his yellow blankie was so cute I wish he was a real kid because I want to see him and coo at him. He was just so precious, from not sleeping early, to watching penguins, to waking Jongin up and interchanging Dad with Daddy haha! Also when he was like "Blankie, das you!" MY HEART WAS SO FULL AND BURSTING WITH LOVE.
But my favorite part was when Jongin was sitting down on the toilet and Kyungsoo came in and Jongin hugged his waist and buried his face on Kyungsoo's tummy, while Kyungsoo stroked his hair... just, that was such a great scene. Because you could really feel Jongin's exhaustion from his day, which we've all felt more than once in our life, and he's fortunate enough to have a Kyungsoo there with him to help him through the tiredness. I could really feel the love in this family. You did such a great job.
I wish I could just read about their everyday life forever and that it never ends. Thank you so much for writing such an enjoyable fic!
ps; shoutout to that dino image of them chasing each other around the house and kyungsoo rolling his eyes at them but then joining in too so much sweet domestic fluff
pps: i need to mention this because this is such a beautiful detail... "their wedding rings clinking against each other." my heart is so weak. /wipes tear
